Paris City Tours

Paris, the city of all things romance and love has amazing sights for all to discover. The vibe and the atmosphere that every person who steps in this famed city feels is nothing but amazing. There are some wondrous monuments and culture-rich cafes and museums that have made Paris the city it is today. But we are here to put light on some of the off-beat locations and sights that you may have missed. Here are the 3 places to see in Paris, just when you think you have seen it all in your Paris private tour! Read on.

Arènes De Lutèce

This place is one that is rich with culture. Why? Because 2000 years ago in 1st century AD, gladiators fought in this very arena- Arènes De Lutèce, the Roman Amphitheatre. If you have seen the Hollywood classic, Gladiator, then you will know the historical weight these gladiator combats played in early history. The place is free to visit and keep your eyes peeled for stages and small rooms-these were the holding cells of animals like bears and lions. A must visit place at 4 rue des arènes (or enter via a laneway at 49 rue monge), 75005.

The Statue Of Liberty

Thinking you lost your marbles? Think again. You needn’t fly to New York to get a glimpse of The Statue of Liberty. After all, the awe-inspiring and imposing feminine figure that signifies liberty and freedom, was a gift from France to US in the year 1886, designed by the famous sculptor Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi and constructed by the equally famous, Gustave Eiffel. The largest replica of the same statue can be found on Île aux Cygnes island below Pont de Grenelle bridge, a gift back from the Americans, standing at 11.5 meters. You will find several other statues of liberty at Jardin du Luxembourg park and even the Musée des arts et metiers.

Parc Des Buttes-Chaumont

A beautiful spot that is perched atop a cliffy island in an artificial lake. The hill features many of the Victorian styled follies, waterfalls, and scenic spots that are nothing but romantic. There is also the Temple de la Sibylle, which has elements heavily inspired from the Roman temple of Vesta, located at Tripoli in Italy. The best time to visit would be during the months from February to May, with the season of Fall bringing out the magic of this place situated at 1 rue Botzaris, Belleville, 75019.
